I am trying to figure out the website maintenance header on the website. In NewsWire, it appears anyone can read, but few can post. It tells me I have to login to post, but refers me back to the maintenance header, yet others post freely. It doesn't impact the forums here, it seems just the comments in NewsWire.
The last time the NewsWire comments went wonky, I think you said it was due to the fact that they were hosted by a third party which authenticated against your subscriber database which you own.
Yet, this forum appears to use a different hosting service than NewsWire as here I am with no issues.
This isn't a complaint, I know you will get it right eventually, but I am more drawn to the breaking news than I am the older stuff here in the forums. I just noticed that some subs can post, but many can't.

Small business IT is the hardest to operate. You either rely on 1 underpaid guru, or you pay through the nose for some IT integrator where they have an army of staff, but masters of nothing.
We are changing from one fulfillment service (which handles the servers that authenticate logins, among other duties) to another. I can't tell you how long that process takes. But since we knew it was going to take a while, we decided to open up the website to all. This means that some functions that require you to be logged in may have problems, but we figured that was better than having people not be able to access a website they paid for. Please be patient during this switchover; I'm sure that it's being done as quickly as can be.
