Quick stop in Bucyrus, Ohio
Posted by chatanuga on Saturday, August 5, 2023 5:14 PM

I was in my hometown of Bucyrus taking a look at a house that I'm buying to move back home, and after meeting with my realtor and a contractor to inspect the house, I grabbed lunch at Wendy's and headed over to the T&OC depot to eat.  I missed the first train (a southbound intermodal on Norfolk Southern), but while eating, a second southbound intermodal came through.

Then as I was about to take off back to my current home, I heard a horn to the east and caught a short westbound Wheeling and Lake Erie freight running on the Chicago, Fort Wayne and Eastern (former Conrail).

NS is about a half mile to the east, and the former Conrail is about a half mile to the north.
