<p>There is no need to be anxious about the longevity of concrete structures.</p> <p>Look at the remaining concrete coaling towers. Built from the mid 1920s the oldest are in their 90s now. And they are not even prestressed.</p> <p>Bridges on high speed rail lines (up to 200 mph) are mostly built as prestressed concrete structures here in Germany. And they not built for just 20 years.
