CSX has been using these cars for over a year. Going back even further when I was working in 2016 - CSX had a number of locomotives outfitted with some level of measuring equipment such that 'rough track' data would be automatically sent to the MofW Desk at headquarters and instructions would sent to Roadmaster/Track Supervisors to have the identified location(s) looked at and remediated.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
