Chicago's 75th Street Corridor Project

Reading the Newswire piece about how UP is preparing to start it's portion of work to revitalize this important link, reminded me of how I've always found this particular segment of Chicago's rail network to be interesting.

Are there any figures for the total number of trains that pass through this corridor, daily? E-W is what I am particularly interested in,  such as passing Ashland Avenue.

And, does NS have any regular trains  scheduled west beyond Landers yard?

There was a turn to Manhattan to serve the handful of freight customers left.  I'm not sure if it's still being operated.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
