Which leads me to the question - How many times does grain end up on a auger/conveyor belt in its life between farm havest and its ultimate consumer/industrial product?

Watching some farming videos the initial steps are - harvester to grain cart; grain cart to on farm storage bin, farm storage bin to OTR truck to commercial elevator and on and on and on

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

They look sharp but would look even better if the CN logo was placed on the upper corner of the car, in keeping with the artistic "rule of thirds". Sadly, they won't look pristine for long.. The "Trudeau hoppers" they're replacing were beautifully painted works of art.. even nonrailfans would turn to look and notice.

CN and CP have both acquired a few thousand of these new cars from NSC over the last 2-3 years.

Hundreds more have also been acquired by leasing companies and private grain companies.
