Just finished kit bashing a Walthers HO Electric Arc Furnace building, but with the roof on the interior is very dark, notwitstanding I left cut-outs in the side and rear walls for viewing purposes. The furnace interior is lit up at the lid opening & tap-out hole with 4 blue & orange flikering Leds / in order to represent the arcing & scrap metal melting process. I am attempting to install several Woodland Scenics cool white-stick on Leds in roof joist to add more light, but i am not optistic this will do the job as i find these lights have limited effect when used in high ceiling buildings.
Can anyone recommend a better option for brighter overhead interior lighting, maybe battery operated lights in the removable roof? Bayway Terminal

The arc furnace building I used to spend time around was not brightly lit. There were some high-bay mercury vapor lights, so when the furnace was shut down, at night the place had a distinctly bluish color.

This is too funny. I'd been following along with this in the MR forum, as I recall in the 'layout and layout building' subforum. Perhaps one of their mods tried to get it to the 'prototype' subforum and fumbled their fingers?
