Harrison,  Thanks for sharing your videos.  Some great "catches". I especially liked your passenger train shots.  Nice to see the whole train from head light to markers.

Do you know what the story was on the Pennsylvania lettered car?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Mr. Harrison!  Nice work!

Did you know Plattsburg was the site of a US Army officers training camp during World War One?  No doubt a lot of the officer candidates came in on that very same rail line and detrained at that very same Plattsburg station.  I met a man years ago who was an officer candidate there in 1918.  He was commissioned a second lieutenant, and then the next day the word came the war had ended.  They discharged him and all the other new lieutenants within a few days afterward.  As he told me, "I never made it to France!  Jeez, was I mad!  I'm still mad, even though I found out later how lousy it was!"

By any chance are there any remnants of that training camp left?  If you don't know, that's OK.

That "Pennsylvania" car?  It's a private car, that pretty much says it all.  Wonder who owns it?

Thanks for the comments!

The Pennsylvania RR car is privately owned.

I saw it by chance in Burlington, and the car attendant told me when they were coming to Plattsburgh.
