On my NB trip on Thursday to Watkins Glen, NS's Gang Mills Yard was visibly 'full' with multiple sets of locomotives parked in the vicinity of the yard office. On the SB trip on Sunday, several tracks had cars, but nowhere near being fully occupied and there was only on set of power parked at the yard office -one engine had the initials 'ASSX' I wonder who the own is.
In a small yard alongside NY 414 between Corning and Watkins Glen I notice that the yard appeared to be 'full' of RBOX box cars - I am suspecting they are being stored pending loading (that PSR is endeavoring to prevent from ever happening).
In my SB trip back home I missed the turn North of Marysville to us US 322 and ended up following US 15 from Marysville to Enola - notices a number of 'Darth Vader' signals installed but turned sideway - PRR position light signals don't have much life left.
At Enola, I notice several tracks with auto racks - saw a new to me initial - TOAX for the car number with TTX stenciled as the owner of the rack superstructure.

I was viewing it from 100+ yards away at 75 MPH - anything is possible it was in a yellow/orange - non-UP type livery.

I rode #42, the Pennsylvanian, from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg last weekend. It appeared that all of the PRR position light signals have been replaced.
Not having traveled over the line for three or four years, this may not be news. But it is for me.

Am only thinking there may be some PL's in place because the Darth Vaders I saw were turned to the side - I did not actually see any PL's.
That's quite tame by railroader graffiti standards.

Many people are pushing back on wind power - they don't want the towers. With solar farms, they may not even realize there's any in their own town.

Indeed - I've wondered if maybe they could use that slightly frosted glass that is used in picture frames. It wouldn't completely eliminate the glare, but it might cut it down quite a bit. It might cut the efficiency of the panels slightly, but that's better than blinding a pilot...

The oxided aluminium frames can also create blinding glare - ever been driving East as Sunset (or West at Sunrisde) approaches and the reflection off the back side of the highway signs blinds you.
