Seasons greetings to you too.  In the video there were some wild looking Christmas trees in the days before tree farms started shape-triming their trees.

You're a swell fellow yourself, Firelock! Great taste in music, too. I saw Leon in 1975-jeez, the years! Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid, Ramadan to everyone!

Thanks for your service Mike  (Wanswheel), you and all the other 'Nam heroes!

As the late R. Lee Ermey once said, "If you served in Vietnam, and you did your duty well, you  are a hero!"

I don't know what you're branch of service was, but "Semper Fi!"  to you!

Firelock, I served during the Viet Nam "conflict" but I was strictly in the ETO on the mahogany front. A hero? Me? Nah! Cheers, Merry Christmas and Semper Fi, mate!

Adding my vote in favor of all these sentiments with a photo from Russ Jackson of the diesel light rail River Line in Camden, NJ.  Interesting that this first USA modern diesel LRL is mostly on the RoW of the first regularly steam powered USA railroad, the Camden and Ambay with its Joh Bull.

Thanks for the photo David!  So that light rail line's on the ROW of the old Camden and Amboy?  I didn't know that.  Can you imagine if the people riding behind the old "John Bull" could see that light rail diesel unit?

A bit late, but "Happy Hannukah" to you sir!  And stay safe over there!

Merry Christmas to all! I trust this will be a wonderful day for each of you!

The orning temperature is close to freezing. It has precipitated, but not stuck--and much more is expected this afternoon.

Last night, I found a subway car in my stocking--put there by my granddaughter who lives in Brooklyn and works in lower Manhattan (guess how she travels to and from work). The doors on one side can be opened and closed--and people are ready to step out. It is now on the shelf outside my door, along with a UP caboose, a Rudolph, and an imitation British Pacific (buffers and all).
