Looking for plans
Posted by Thunkerboomer on Sunday, June 17, 2018 12:39 AM

Hello, i am new here. My name is Isaac, and i am in need of some blueprints, specifically those used by Overland Models to make their C&O Class M-1 and N&W #2300 Class TE-1 steam turbine locomotives.

I need the blueprints to model the engines for a Simulator game. The trouble is, the real-life versions don't seem to have been preserved, so I'd like to know if the plans for the models exist, and if so, does anyone have a way to get them?

You may have better luck over on the Model Railroader forum and on the Trains Steam & Preservation and Locomotive forums.

Of course, many on this forum do frequent the others, so you could get an answer here.

No idea about models, but you might be able to get ahold of the real locomotive plans.

For the C&O engine I would contact this organization, even if they don't have the plans they probably know who does:

You should also create a account on the Railway Preservation News website and post this question in their Interchange forum, you will get some really good responses over there:

Hope this helps.
