Given Prime Minister Trudeau's statement yesterday that his government, unlike the previous government, will not order workers back under the company's terms, and instead reach a negotiated settlement, I suspect it was the CPR who blinked.

We have an election coming up in just over a year and one of the Liberal platform planks has been support for the middle class. Just tilling the field in preparation for next years crop.Hmm
