Entirely New Railroad - Southwest Gulf Railroad Progress?

Vulcan Materials is building an entirely new railroad in Texas that will be called the Southwest Gulf Railroad. What progress has been made on contruction?

As per the attached, construction is underway.  The project is scheduled for completion in 2019.

I must say that is a pretty cool project even though it is in the middle of nowhere.Smile

UP RR has spent a lot of money on improvements East of Dallas and has laid new double track in places I saw from my Christmas ride on the Texas Eagle.    Could have been there for years but the concrete ties make it look pretty new.    Like their flashy new intermodal yard there.

Thank you for the links to the website. Does anyone know if they've started the heavy lifting (grading, earthwork, etc.) or if they have done a survey and still talking about it?
