OK, I did my own research. From my on-line inquiries, I found that I had apparently come across the home base of the Carolina Southern Railroad, a 76.5 mile short line that operates between Whiteville, NC and Mullins, S.C. and also between Chadbourne, NC and Conway, SC. According to an entry in the ncrailways.net website, the railroad has 11 locomotives and employs 35 people. Does anyone know anything about my other question, information about the 1910 ACL train station in Chadbourne?
