Found a new way to post photographs. See Third Avenue Lightweights on the Transit Forum. Works for me, maybe for you.
The photo has to be sent from my Yahoo address to gmail address. Have not (yet?) been able to get it to work the opposite way.
Might work for you but all I see is a slashed circle.

I get a prompt to start a Google Gmail account. I've run into a similar case a couple of times before, where I was looking for information and was told that I had to use a Google account. Apparentlly, they are using an aggressive marketing strategy, which tends to make me very defensive. I don't like being pushed.

The photos I posted or those you are trying to post?
Your photos... I think one has to have access to your account (a no-no!) to see the images.
Can anybody else see them?
I can't see anything.

SD70M-2Dude I can't see anything.
Sorry to do this, but I'm reminded of a Woody Woodpecker cartoon that still cracks me up, though nobody else seems to think much of it. He went to renew his drivers license, and was told to read this chart on the wall:
I
can't
see a
thing
Does anyone who cannot see the photos that I posted have a Google account?
Interesting to learn that you have to have a Google account to see the photos or are they just restricted to my account? Anyway, I do get the idea that my brilliant technique is simply not working, and I won't post more pictures that cannot be seen. Apologies. Thought I had a problem solved, but did not.
And I like the cartoon.
Hello Dave
Yes I do have a google account but you would have to send them there, not to the Trains forum. You have to download the pictures onto the internet. Lots of free services out there. I use Imgur. Works OK.
If the image is already on the internet then you can just "copy" and paste to the "insert" column at the top of the "Post Body" comments section.
Option - Get a student to show you how ...you only need to be shown once because its not that difficult once you know how...the internet can be kind of geeky sometimes ...just need to get around the geekiness and you got it.
Can I find it with just www.Imgur.com ?
I did find it. Probem: The limited bandwidth provided by Bezek for the Yeshiva prevents its use. Thus, I will only be able to post photos when I use the wifi at the University or elsewhere.
But someone else can post them for me in the meantime.

Thanks, RME.
I have emailed the photos to a friend who posts frequently as jpg attachmens to a regular email, and hopefully they will appear soon on the appropriate threads.
If this has not occured by about 15 hours from now, I will try following the suggestion (Imgur) that will be made possible by HU Library WiFi.
Looking forward to it. It will get worked out one way or another.
Hope this works:
I can see them all now Dave. Great photos, thank you for sharing them.
I'm using firefox on a machine running windows 7 if that matters.
And while I've always been more of a Bugs Bunny-Daffy Duck kinda guy (woohoo! Woohoo!!) I gotta say I really enjoyed that cartoon too.

I would also suggest a late 'new arrival' which I believe K.P. also recommends: postimage.io
If their development style and customer service are even remotely close to what we see for their replacement for Yahoo Groups, they're worth considering.
As a side note: part of the setup utilities provided for Groups is the ability to batch-download ALL your files from a particular site. I strongly suspect this is true for the photo site, too, and should be operative both for Photobucket and Flickr ... once you have them across, you'd have to change some data in the image tags in prior posts to match the new addresses, which is of course a pain, but puts the image back in prior posts without copying the images across one by one and renaming them...
SD70M-2DudeAnd while I've always been more of a Bugs Bunny-Daffy Duck kinda guy (Woohoo! Woohoo!!) ...
Sometimes I wonder how people have so much idle time on their hands as to produce things like this compilation but I am grateful for, and, frankly, a bit in awe of the result.
Wow...Daffy with Daleks...too bad it lasted only half a sec.

On Dave’s post I only see ONE photo.
daveklepper Hope this works:
But yet, SD70M-2Dude says that he “can see them all now Dave.”
Is all this a joke and mind game, or are different computer screens showing different things?

Agreed ...I only have the one

I only see 1 picture - but that is 1 more than we were previously seeing.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
I only see one photo in that post too. By "all" I meant the photos in the other thread, the one titled "Third Avenue Lightweight Streetcars". Previously I couldn't see any of them either, and they appeared to me at the same time this one did.
There is one photo and only one on the Passenger Forum Penn Station management thread, but there should be four on the Transit Forum Third Avenue thread.
Yes sir,,,they are all there...nice!

That's exactly what I see
