I have just discovered a number of TRAINS and Traveller editions dating from the 1950s. Have they any value?
Do you mean Trains and Travel Magazine which is what Kalmbach called Trains Magazine in 1952-53? Temporary name change.
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
Just an idea. If there is a nearby nusing home, you can give it to them for the residents to read. Another is when you go to the doctor's office or barbra shop, leave a copy or two behind. I read several car magazines a month and leave copies behind, less mailing label.
Harry, they have comparable market value to other magazines of that era. Look at eBay to get an idea of what's being asked per issue; look at concluded auctions to see what actual buyers are interested in paying.
They are certainly worth trying to sell instead of throwing out.
