How can I get a current BNSF freight car roster? I have tried a search engine with no luck and don't want to buy an "Official Equipment Roster" for $400 or so dollars.
Happily retired NP-BN-BNSF from Minneapolis.

See if you can make friends at a railroad office that gets a paper Equipment Register and ask them for their old copy when the new one comes out.
