Siemens Charger Units Arrive in Seattle
Posted by Yard Limit on Saturday, May 13, 2017 11:06 AM

Two new Siemens Charger units arrive in Seattle on May 12, 2017 for service on the Amtrak Cascades.  Amtrak 7, led by BNSF 4595 was running five hours late as it arrived with the new units.

Given the fact that it was being led by a BNSF unit, I assume that one of the Amtrak units had issues. The Charger units were being deadheaded.

It's okay, they can be delayed as long as anyone wants...

Faster, cleaner, quieter, but uglier paint, and a lot less fun to stand beside when the engineer goes straight to eight...

Not going to appreciate when I get one on an ODOT set. Dead

Certainly progress in some areas, a regression in others...
