Does anyone have/know about any color photographs of the Illinois Central City of Miami in its original 1940 paint scheme? I have seen colorized postcards and pictures of the semi-preserved observation car Bamboo Grove in Florida, but no actual color photographs.
There were color pictures of the "City of Miami" in TRAINS a number of years back. They were supplied by J. David Ingles who obtained them from movie film shot by his father in 1941 (I think).

Thanks again for the information. Classic Trains editor Robert McGonigal responded to my inquiry about which issue had the picture--it is the January, 1975 issue of Trains. I found one online for sale. He also said that Dave Ingles does not know what happened to his father's 16 mm film from which the picture was taken.
