Stumbled on this link of the world's RRs. It can be moved to anywhere and brought all the way down to street level. Have not checked on ability to store on computer but certainly might be a way to carry to view where you are instead of SPV atlas anywhere in world ?
May help us to understand reports about almost any subject. Ex; KP's great reports.
Have no idea how up to date the maps of various locations are ?

Just a quick glance and I see there is no line to Moosonee on James Bay or the line to Churchill on Hudson's Bay. Oh well, it's something.
The "open" maps are usually "crowd sourced," so they should be pretty well up to date.

Tree expect you to check it so we know exactly what your routes and trips are.
As well as I could tell, the compilers have no information concerning signaling or maximum speed in North America.
After enlarging the map greatly, I found the line up to Churchill.

All of our stuff is there, as are all other local lines, as well as all the lines I know of that have been abandoned. That's all pretty accurate, too.
Looks like it could use some tweaking here and there- UP's double-track main through Cedar Rapids isn't shown as such, only Track #1 is denoted as a main track.

Blue Streak and Deggesty- Thanks for pointing out my error...I did say just a quick glance...did not go into it at all.
It has the entire Illinois Railway Museum route. But it doesn't show the Elgin & Belvidere running through Union, IL.
Neat map. I wish they would have included more detail on abandonded lines. It doesn't show Murphy Siding off the Milwaukee Road east of Rapid City, SD about hwere Apple Tree Road meets SD Hwy 44.
Thanks to Chris / CopCarSS for my avatar.
If you view map and on the menu box in the upper left hand corner there is a contact to send a msg to. I did and am awaiting a response as to where I can send the many corrections about RR's of Long Island, NY. Will keep blog advised of the response.
