Well it is that time of year again. Trainfest 2016 is a mere 5 days away. Once again it is time for the annual TRAINS, Model Railroader and all the other forums group photo at the Kalmbach Publishing booth at Trainfest. Trainfest celebrates 45 years this year. In a tradition started last year the show features a local railroad. This year the Milwaukee Road is the featured railroad. Check out special photo display of the history of the Milwaukee in Milwaukee and other places.
This years photo will be at 12:30pm at the Kalmbach booth on Saturday November 12, 2016. I am running trains at my railroad club until 12noon so with time to put my trains away I figured 12:30pm would work. Please if you are at Trainfest and a member of the Forum stop by. It is interesting to see how those that have been in several photos change through out the years. Dave will bring the traditional sign.
Again the Forum Photo will be at 12:30pm on Saturday November 12, 2016 at the the Kalmbach Booth near the entrance to the show. Please Join In. Hopefully we can get the Kalmbach VIP's at the booth to join the photo also.

Regrettably, neither I nor my photographer can make it this year. I have railfanning obligations that will take me to Rochelle on Saturday, and Pat's volunteer work will be taking her to Park Ridge (at least she's more in the right direction!).

Your talking about Trainfest in West Allis at State Fair Park?
Is there a more or less set date for the Trainfest? There is no way I can get there this year, and, since I travel by train for any long distance, I would need to know in advance (I like to plan my trip and make reservations 5-6 or so months in advance. Even then I am not always able to get a bedroom; on my trip last month (reserved in May) I had two roomettes out of six room reservations.
