Politically driven ... RTD has plenty wrong with it, but this is irrelevant. Market forces, demographic shifts, (anybody noticed the population boom? Fastest growing housing market in the country or near the top since 1990 ...2008 recession barely slowed the boom in Denver.)....the City's planners wanted this and got it, especially around the Transit Oriented Developments. Instead of blaming RTD, maybe blame the millenials flocking here? the city? (btw - the City Planners wanted the TOD's, but their predictions about RTD ridership are considerably off to the low side. Go figure.)
Doesn't matter where in Denver one lives, rents are up (and they are not rising as fast as the value of single family homes)
