April Foolishness?

I'm disappointed.  No April Fools Day posts. I expected at least Big Boy over Tennessee Pass or 611 on Saluda. Anyway, have a good weekend and great month of April.

Elon Musk, the dynamic leader of electric car maker Tesla, is reported to have announced today that his company will be entering the electric locomotive market with a battery powered alternative to the mainstream diesel locomotives currently offered by other manufacturers. Production is rumored to begin soon at a state of the art facility constructed for the purpose in Rio Linda, CA, a move that prompted praise from both Rush Limbaugh and Donald Trump for its pro-American effects as well as the economic improvements therefrom. The electricity to charge the batteries in the new LocoTesla will be generated at a revolutionary new facility located on the former Hanford Nuclear Reservation in south-central Washington State. The facility is said to consist of what resemble solar panels which are aimed at the ground to collect radiation energy from the contaminated site. Reliable sources claim that power production is possible 24/7.

And the joke is Rush praising anything in Rio Linda, CA. And he wouldn't praise non-fossil fuel locomotives either, me thinks. That's the domain of tree huggers in his world.
