Earlier today two passenger trains collided Head-on in Bavaria south of München, near the town of Bad Aibling. The accident occured on a single track secondary line from München to Rosenheim, west of the mainline. At least 10 people are dead, and as many as 150 are injured. The two trains are operated by the Bayern Oberbahnen under contract to the Länder of Bayern. The accident happened in a heavily wooded area around a blind curve. The line is protected by the modern PzB90 Train Stop system. Both Drivers are among the fatalities.

BBC news story and video

The line is known as the Mangfalltalbahn as it follows the Mangfall river. Here is a link to a Cab Rideo video as shot from a freight train travelling over the line.
