Is it too early to think about/suggest/promote/whatever the annual Trains Forum photograph at Trainfest in Milwaukee? I'm sure the usual suspects will be there, along with possibly a few extras in town for the Trains 75th-anniversary gala. If it goes like past years, it would be at the Kalmbach booth in Trainfest at noon on Saturday, November 14. As usual, Pat will be there to fire the camera, and I'll be there to break it.

Sorry - I might be on my way back to PDN's hood that weekend*. (I already almost broke Wrinny's toy phone camera in Minneapolis at the beginning of October.)
* Crazy time to travel anywhere on business.
MC, perhaps Wrinny should get an industrial grade camera? If I see someone about to take my picture, I always ask if the camera is industrial grade.
I wish I could be there; I had hoped to meet several people whom I know through these forums. My legs are much improved, but I am not ready to travel yet. Carl will have to make my devoirs for me.

Hi Carl
Yes I talked to Keith Schmidt and the plan is to have the traditional Trains.com forum member/participant group photo at the Kalmbach booth on Saturday at noon. I look forward to seeing you and Pat there (we need to get her in the photo one of these years - why not this year?!).
I will post a general invite here and on the other Kalmbach magazine forums soon.
Be aware that the floor plan for Trainfest will look different in 2015 - the manufacturers are not all going to be in the south end of the building as they have been for several years, because the Friday Night Showcase event has been discontinued so there is no longer a need for a grand and dramatic opening of the manufacturer's part of the show. As with last year there will be a second building with a shuttle bus - and as an incentive, that building (due to the strange contractual arrangements that the Wisconsin State Fair enters into) had substantially better food vendors than the main building. I went there for lunch both days last year. Fortunately the layouts there were excellent enough to make the visits worth while.
