Read a bulldozer moved 49 boxcars on the reconstruction of the desert line from Octillo to Plaster City, does this really mean they are serious about bringing this rail line back to a functioning railroad?  let us hope so, as it has some spectacular trestles and tunnels, anyone heard any more information on this venture?

Any idea yet on how this may affect the Pacific SW RR Museum in Campo?  I didn't see anything in the RA or BizWire articles.

An operating agreement between PIR and the museum was spelled out back in 2013 here:

More recent meeting minutes describe ongoing operation of the museum on this trackage, including an "incident" or two, as well as some rather bold claims by PIR regarding their efforts to restore the line, train operations already under way, etc. Dig deep into these records and you'll find further clues, clicking on the "Minutes" link for each date:
