The area is built up, industrial and fenced, or heavily wooded with no overpasses, just underpasses. If anything I might try the Ponitac/Wayne Trace underpass area. It's right at the hump and youhave CSX to the east and Triple Crown to the west, though you can't really see either very well from there. I usually stay moving
[/quote]

Yeah, *that* has been pretty much my experiance too, thanks just the same

Having recently returned from 20 years living elsewhere, I I didn't know if if something might have changed to make Piqua "accessible", that you might know of,...etc.

The way it's always been, it's set up such that THERE IS NO OTHER GOOD REASON, to be there, so it's almost like if you show up there, they GOTTA come c chase you away, almost as if by principle, if nothing else.

One of the weird "small" things I've never done, is actually see the crossing of the old Wabash and the old Pennsey, in person. Odd only because it (and immediate surroundings) are one of the very few local RR landmarks that I never "violated" as a kid.

And, it's just that realization, that is gnawing at me, in a peculiar way. Surely, there's nothing truly "unique" about it, just a buncha rails, ballast, etc Maybe a tired worn frog....But the fact that I've "never" made that one. I got my other "never" earlier this year, the west bridge crossing of the NicklePlate & Wabash, which always seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere looking at it from I-69...Had to laugh when i noticed from an arial photo that a subdivision street comes so close you could spit on it.

"Piqua" on the other hand, will not be so simple...[}:)]
