Introducing others to the Hobby....
Posted by CMStPnP on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 2:46 PM

Some of you that are financially capable might consider donation of a Trains Subscription to your local Public Library.     Not only does this increase the circulation of the magazine but it introduces others to the hobby of Trains.    Additionally, most Public Libraries will extend the subscription on their own based on in house readership and most Librarians are looking actively for magazine subscriptions to high quality magazines such as this and Model Railroader.

Just a suggestion to consider.Cool

Teacher donated his Model Railroader magazines to our Jr.High library. Liked looking at them when I wasn't putting books back on the shelf.

My library has a place in the lobby for books and magazines for sale on the cheap. I place my back issues of Trains on the rack. They don't last long. Somebody recently donated a bunch of Model Railroader from the 60's, gone in a flash!

Great idea! Another idea is to leave mags in waiting rooms at doctors, dentist, car repair shops, etc. Better then a yearold People Mag.
