A regional jet route probably already has that market covered.  If memory serves me right, the last service on that route was a coach-only remnant of the "Georgian" which was discontinued on April 30, 1971.

 

Paul, you are right. I thought of it as "what was left of the Georgian." I last rode it, from St. Louis to Chattanooga, in the fall of 1970--and was amazed to find a food booth in the coach; I had bought a hamburger in the station in St. Louis to eat on board, so I had a little more for my supper than I had expected to have, and even ate some breakfast before detraining.
