Dave, I duly appreciate your efforts to speak for us, but your comments about our policy are not our policy. Trains is a magazine of railroading and railroaders, and it's immaterial whether those rails haul freight or passenger, or their width, length, location, era, or owner. <br /> <br />General Motors was indeed found guilty of some charges, but by no means would I characterize it as a "conspiracy." If it was a plan, it was a very poorly executed plan. It didn't take a conspiracy to rid the world of streecars, either -- most cities and most people couldn't wait to get rid of them.
