As far as automotive type paints, red is the most expensive color you can buy, white is cheapest. The rest of the colors fall somewhere in between. Not sure of the exact reasons, but that's how it is. In fact, back in the early 90's, when I was pricing some paint for a car, in one particular line, red was twice the price of white. The paints used for locomotives would be of similar makeup as automotive. Originally laquer, but more likely now acrylics. <br /> <br />Tim <br />
