The B40-8's came up on their 15 year lease and basically GE asked who wanted them and the P&W bought them. They were stored in Binghamton for awhile and I believe Utica for awhile until they went east. If the Conrail takeover hadn't occurred they wouldn't have had to send them back upon the end of their lease as the Susie-Q would still be doing what they should be doing....hauling stack trains!
