Some Railroad Art
Posted by greyhounds on Saturday, March 14, 2015 6:35 PM
"By many measures, the U.S. freight rail system is the safest, most efficient and cost effective in the world." - Federal Railroad Administration, October, 2009. I'm just your average, everyday, uncivilized howling "anti-government" critic of mass government expenditures for "High Speed Rail" in the US. And I'm gosh darn proud of that.

Mitch Markovitz used to be a member of these forums as "artmark".

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Pat and I visited an exhibit of his work at the tourist center off 80/94 south of Hammond a few years ago.  We were mpressed!

Mitch Markovitz has just finished a stunning new painting honoring the P&W/Red Arrow Liberty Liners for a client in Lancaster, PA.  That painting, and another he has done honoring the Brill Bullets, will be unveiled on May 16th at the East Penn Traction Club's National Trolley Meet in Philadelphia.  If you're going, you'll find him great fun to talk with.
