i used to hop em on cnw and ic in iowa and ill. sure was exciting in a way. free travel. except when train blew through town too fast to jump off. then it would finally stop 25 or 50 miles or more from where i wanted off at . bummer. now a days there are some real crazy crackers out west that will kill you fer nuthin if you hop into their car by accident. <br />hopping trains was an adventure getting off at towns ya never heard of and exploring.
