Just because I said they were capable of it, did not mean that they did it on a regular basis. Fact is, they were hardly ever unloaded (always had cars on them) and running that fast would tear up the bushings and bearings. <br /> <br />Best a shay would run would be about 50% of top speed to keep maintence costs down. <br /> <br />Jay
