<p>This is the photo I entered.</p> <p><a href="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8121/8614355168_d00690401b.jpg"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8121/8614355168_d00690401b.jpg" border="0" alt=" " /></a></p> <p><span>The New England landscape is finally starting to turn green as MBTA train 424 rolls through Lincoln, MA. Fresh leaves bring new life into a scene steeped in history; Lincoln once had a siding between the two main tracks, and the code line strung alongside the tracks is still alive and well. When this photo was taken in April 2012, most of the Fitchburg Line—including the searchlight signal in the distance—was controlled by Waltham Interlocking Tower, seven miles to the east.</span></p>
