ED, Thank you for the info. It has helped me rethink thing's. As you probably figured out I am still trying to understand this railroad business. This topic started from one of my Son's question's. Here in our town of Buffolo Grove, the Wisconson Central has tracks. My son noticed that they were removing the switches from the line. One was a Lumber company, The other was a factory that made paper cups. He wanted to know why these companies do not ship by rail any more. I tried to come up with a explanation but as you can tell I do not work for the railroad. <br /> TIM A
