RDC sighting

I had a perfect throw-back experience today. Under stellar Wisconsin North Woods weather, I was in Marinette having a bite to eat at the classic Mickey-Lu Bar-B-Q, when a CN RDC motors past heading south on the adjacent CN (former C&NW) Escanaba, Mi. to Green Bay line. What a surprise! Didn't know CN still had any of those on their roster. Could it have been a fan trip? A long SB CN freight followed about a half hour later. If you're ever traveling through Marinette, Mickey-Lu's is a must stop.....http://www.jldr.com/micklu.html

Sure you didn't see FRA T-10 (Ex Budd SPV-2000 demonstrator)?

My guess is that you saw CN 1501, an RDC converted into a track inspection vehicle.

A GREAT LOOKING CAR

It's a quizzer for me. Unless CN repainted the logo on one or both ends. The one I saw had the bright red-orange background with white CN logo covering about a 2'x 3' area on the lower left corner of the end, not a fully emblazoned end. Didn't see the number.
