Fortunately I am too poor to pay attention, but I am super excited to see the new webcam.  I have been on the forum a day or two and know they have always had a tiny pix that you could barely see, so KUDOS to the K people.  Now I will watch this instead of the Netherlands! Or maybe change off.

How ironic!  I tuned in just in time to see the forums favorite subject - a tanker unit train going by!

Now THAT'S what I"m talkin' 'bout.  Full screen.  Very good resolution.  Thanks to whomever is responsible!

SJ, was your tank train on UP or BNSF?  If UP, it was likely for ethanol, not crude oil.

I saw the other thread first tonight, but I'll reiterate my first thought when I opened the page to see--and hear--a stack train headed east on UP:  Wow!

Resolution--that's the word...I need would like a little more.  I'll bet locomotive numbers would be visible in many cases if I could see clearly!

BC - BNSF headed up north.  Actually I saw one on each - UP was later.  That's why I put tanker unit train - it could have been hauling water for all I know.

AHHHHHH! Finally, a webcam worthy of the flagship of the railroad magazines. I have spent the afternoon watching trains come and go using the full screen and LISTENING to them too. As the navy would say-DELIVER BRAVO ZULU TO KALMBACH FOR A JOB WELL DONE.

Just observed something new on the webcam- eastbound UP mixed manifest on Track 2, relatively short (maybe 35-40 cars) with two spartan cabs for power.  What was new was the fact that there were several cars being pushed AHEAD of the engines, and a crew member riding the first one.  No horn warnings from this one...
