I would be happy if all you Wisconsinites would just send some water down the Rock River. Two of the local good ol boys drove 4x4s across river on Friday night. We did it in 89, back when I was into 4bys. Just take off the fan belts and put her to the floor. 44 inch tires, a lift kit and much alcohol (in the operator, not the motor) usually do the trick. The old Ford versus Chevy thing runs strong between 4x4 owners. We never considered Dodge owners to be a viable contenders.[(-D]
Joe (the keyboard player in the band) bought a kayak. Took it out on the Rock, and ended up walking most of the way. Not enough water to support a kayak! Sad.
They close the dam at Sterling/Rock falls so all the big money boats in the marina can run and all of us downriver can't even put in a 16 foot flatbottom to fish.[banghead]
Anyway, going to stay in the AC today and stay cool and get ready for 3rd shift tonight. It's going to be miserable in there tonight. The plant is that 8 story cement building right next to the interstate in Rochelle with the cross on the top. The first floor is air conditioned in production areas but the rest is not. 7 stories of cement absorbing this heat and sun is not going to be pretty by 11 tonight.
CW- bring on the sliders!!!!!!! Perhaps we should inform the "non-knowing" what sliders are before they order some up.[(-D] That's okay, I'll eat any that get sent back.
I can kill a 20 pack. I look at it as a interior body cleansing.LOL Just skip the pickles, I always pick them off anyway. They dilute the true Slider flavor!
Well, will stop in for breakfast tomorrow and plenty of liquids after tonight.
Go Cubs, let's pluck some red feathers today!! I'll take 2 out of 3! D-Lee for MVP!!!!
Willy, over and out
