Good Morning All! Been gone since Tuesday. Six pages to go thru. Stepdaughter had a bad diabetic spell. Not doing her shots and eating right. Got very sick. I ending up rushing her to hospital Tuesday morning. She spent 4 days in ICU. About lost her, very stessful week on Mama and me. She's at the edge of the woods, not quite out, but I think she now realizes the seriousness of her situation, and what she has to do to keep things right. at age 20 she was just kind of blowing things off and didn't realize how far and fast things could get out of whack.
One thing I missed all week was the good Diner food. Hospital cafeteria food SUCKKKS. [tdn][tdn]
Anyway am back home now trying to water plants and yard to keep them alive in this drought. Thirty miles in any direction and the grass is nice and green, around the sandbar here it looks like late August. The yards are brown and crunchy and the corn and beans are wilting. Even the bottom ground has 3/4 " cracks. It's getting bad. Nothing in forecast either.
In reading the last few pages, first off Happy Birthday to those I missed. Judging from all the posts about the White Rabbit, Alices Resturaunt, Led Zepplin, and Alice B. it appears as though there are more "Lost Souls from the Sixties" than I thought. I thought I was the only one. [8D]
A DINER DAY IN ROCHELLE [bow] [8D] Name the date and I'll be there. If any local legwork is needed let me know. I'm omly about 45 minutes away by interstate. Will give some thought to naming it. The obvious would be " The 1st Annual MookFest and Litterbox Consorteum" or " The Diners Cooks and Waitresses Appreciation Party"
Well, better go move sprinklers, will stop back in later for a cool drink. It's good to be back [:D] Willy
