Whats in an American Biscuit? I visited the U. S. last year and loved every minute of it, but on Amtrack i cot a bit of a surprise. I ordered breakfast, bacon, egg so on, and the steward asked if i wanted toast or biscuit with my breakfast. I ordered the biscuit thinking i'd get what Americans must call a cookie to go with my tea, but i got a sort of bun. A bit like what we Brits call a Scone and serve with cream and jam. It wasn't bad just not what i was expecting.
