For breakfast, we will have bacon, eggs, sausage
and pancakes with syrup. Fixing a whole big bunch of it all, and putting it
on the breakfast bar in warmers so it will stay warm for people coming in
after early church services.

Lunch and supper will be a new big batch of beef stew and cornbread.

Everybody have a good day, and be careful and safe out there today!
I see that the special today is Beef Stew. Sounds great, but I was wondering if I might prevail upon the chef for some split pea soup with chopped all beef hot dogs in it and croutons and some of that great cornbread and fresh butter...?

Please...

LC
LC, give me the recipe for the split pea soup, and I'll make it for you. Have never
made it before, but I'll give it a shot.
Well, I order mine from a place in California. It's called Pea Soup Andersen's and they run a couple of nice restaurants based around their famous pea soup. It is canned, but still tastes great. I add the hot dogs usually using all beef franks. I cut them into about 1/3 inch sections then halve each section. Croutons are just toasted bread sometimes with a little bit of garlic or a pinch of thyme if I am feeling ambitious. It's the ol' firehouse chef in me...lol...

LC
