Morning all. [:)]

It never gets too hot for Jim to drink Hot Coffee. I must have my "wake up call" and that is what the coffee is for. When you only get 4 to 5 hours of sleep most every night c o f f e e is a must to start the day. That is hot coffee not iced coffee or luke warm coffee. As I said in the M R forum coffee shop, in my opinion "iced coffee" is unAmerican. I just can't stand the though of warm coffee of iced coffee. I know some drink it but NOT ME. [:0] [B)] [}:)] [;)] [8D]

Here are a few items of interest from the This Day in History website.

June 8

1937 The world's largest flower, the 12' calla lily, blooms in New York's Botanical Garden.

1942 Bing Crosby records "Adeste Fideles" and "Silent Night" in Los Angeles for Decca Records.

Well I am not old enough to remember the actual event of either of these things. But I do agree that the generation who saw and fought in WWII is the best generation of people this country has EVER produced. Even those who didn't go over seas to fight, still fought a war at home with rationing and putting up with many "things" many of us will never have to face. I admire them for the sacrifice they made.I don't believe that we now in our "soft" way of life could handle the sacrifices they made. I could be wrong but now we live in a "me first" world and that attitude didn't exist back then. OK, I will put the soap box up and move on.

Everyone have a great day.

STAY COOL [8D]
