Speaking of the color green and Kevin's environmental association with it--I am one of six people/families that regularily puts out my recycling container EVERY week. My new Mexicians neighbors do most of the time but not every week and the otherneighbors do occasionally. This has cut down on my household trash drastically. Our city started a recycling program about 10 years or so ago but it only lasted about 6 months. The previous program required that you sort everything and keep it separate for the truck to pick it up. This newer program let you throw everything into one container and they sort it later. The newer program seems to be working well and making the company who picks it up some money (selling the scrap metal, paper, etc.). I wish more people would participate in the program as it is something EVERYONE should do. Oh well, at least I am doing my part to reduce landfill trash and promote a cleaner environment. Now don't get me wrong, I am not setting in any trees with a shotgun trying to protect every tree, bird, fish, etc., but we do need to be more watchful of what we are doing to the place where we live. <br /> <br />
