Wow, that's quite a set-up.

Wonder if any trains have ever been hit, quite the mess if they were to run through the driving range. [:D]

In White Rock, BC the BNSF mainline runs for about a mile right down the beachfront, 'bout a quarter of a mile or so the track runs right next to the boardwalk! It looks just as if it is one big passenger platform, but in reality all that comes through there is the BNSF freight trains headed for New Westminister and Vancouver.

I always thought it was a pretty dangerous set-up, but a few years back they finally got around to putting up a fence to separate the mainline from the boardwalk with breaks in the fence every so often so people can still access the beach.

Could be a great spot for trainwatching, but the track doesn't get all that much traffic, and it's all payparking. [:(]
