They came to our country and took thousands of lives.[/quote] If you or anyone else posting to these forums have any scientific data to support the notion that "we are a paranoid nation", I would be happy to listen.  Otherwise, claiming that Americans are paranoid is absurd.  Your friends, who probably number fewer than 10, may be paranoid.  But projecting their views on to the population as a whole does not wash.   Frankly, I am tired of people making unsupported claims.  I gave that up when I was a sophomore.  In high school!
