I agree that it means slavery was necessary. I just had not recalled anybody saying anything like that. I will review the thread, since I am curious as to who said it and what else they said. I do believe slavery was morally wrong. But I also believe that the contention that we could not have become a commercial power without it is absurd. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: small;">I just took a quick look over the whole thread, but it jumps all over the place, and I could not find that quote about slavery being necessary. Could you tell me what page and post it is in? </span></span> </p>
