There is a fair amount of distraction that can arise from the fact that a driver is leading or following another driver he knows. For one thing, most people leading a convoy do not want to be considered by their friends to be holding up progress of the group. And in relation to that, a lead driver will frequently focus attention on his or her friends who are following, thus diverting attention away from the road ahead.</span></span></p> <p> </p>
