Train derailment in western Ohio
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, August 9, 2004 2:07 AM
I was on a road trip to Indianapolis this weekend, and saw some wrecked freight cars in a field along the NS line (NKP) just past Payne, Oh. before the Indiana state line. Does anyone know some details about this derailment? Were any engines involved?

Thanks,

Greg

It was train W06 on its way to Bellevue. IIRC it was about the 22nd car back that started the derailment. If I can find the archived articles from the news, I'll post the link.

I noticed it was too quiet Friday night, but I didn't know why until this a.m. when I saw a post on the fwarailfan site.
